ART FOR A CAUSE: Little Brown Sparrows is a gallery of collage art. The little sparrows in the pieces are a symbolic representation of the 143 million orphans currently in the world. In the pieces, the sparrows are different colors and sizes. They sit together as families and playmates. Perhaps, families that all do not look alike and are not traditional. But, they are calm, peaceful, and each holding a beauty all of its own. Specifically, in Ethiopia, 1 in 5 children do not reach their 5th birthday. There are 6 million orphans in Ethiopia alone. Little Brown Sparrow, represents the child that artist and her husband plan on adopting from Ethiopia. The medium is simply cut paper. A portion of the profits from her artwork will be donated towards the Red Letters Campaign.
