Current Gallery: watercolors ( piece)
After a lifelong love of art, drawing and painting as a hobby, in the Fall of 2008 when I semi-retired, I did start painting . I think it was more to keep me busy as I as used to working everyday. Then I started taking some classes. Also the clinical chemist part of me became extremely intrigued with the science and chemistry of watercolor painting. It took me back to my Med Tech days, spectrophotometry and all the marvelous interactions of color and light. It was exciting to think that not only could these principles of light be used in an analytical manner, but watercolor paints for me became the fusion of aesthetics and science. I felt like all the chemistry and technology in my background and experience was manifesting in my art The emotions and expressions of my soul were coming out the paint brush and onto the paper.I was content with the satisfaction it gave me but then I won first place in an art exhibit and actually sold the winning painting. So this summer, I'm getting ready to be part of exhibit my watercolors at Art Shows in South Florida and getting the images online so that the many of you who have asked me for prints can get them easily.
