My 'Alpine Europe' series is the product of a visit to the European alpine countries of Switzerland, France, Italy, Austria and Germany in April and May of 2005. For a landscape artist, it was like paradise. While I have had the good fortune of extensive travel, never have I witnessed so many spectacular sites in such a short time span. When I began work on the first painting, I knew that I was about to reach a new level of artistic zeal, creativity and inspiration.
