The paintings included here span many years of work. The oldest are the semi-abstract tree paintings, followed by some of the paintings I did whilst living in the Carribean. The images of posts & cables make reference to the ubiquitous scenes so typical of anywhere in the world that mankind has made its mark. The casas/cajas (houses/boxes) paintings are the most recent, and are the result of travels in Peru, where small box-like buildings can be seen along the desert coastal road. This original notion was then further developed in response to ideas about domestic housing, personal safety, and issues of wealth and trust that have been inspired by living in Buenos Aires.
