A collection of images from the original art of William Weith -- the "Artist in the Wild". These images are from works done in the studio as well as works done on location, also known as "plein air". William likes to focus his artistic talents on the colorful life and the scenery of Florida, the tropics, and on wild cats. William's favorite type of painting involves painting outdoors in wild places. He feels there is something special about painting in the wild which captures the spirit and energy of a location. Painting in the field allows him to absorb the essence of a place: the colors and the lighting, the sounds and smells, and sometimes even the tastes of a place. All of this helps him create larger works back in the studio. William's goal as "Artist in the Wild" is to capture the wild image with brush, paint and canvas and bring it home for everyone to enjoy.
