My scenic work celebrates the joy and discovery of traveling the back roads of East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. The Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah National Forest, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park are of special interest to me. Historic sites such as Roaring Fork, Cades Cove, and Oconaluftee farm are a serene detachment from the hurried pace of the highways. I enjoy those moments when the forest just closes in around you. Through my photography I try to preserve our American heritage and a unique, rustic lifestyle that is slowly fading away.
