Current Gallery: joplintornado ( piece)
These photos are a series of shots taken during my two weeks deployment to Joplin Missouri June 1st to June 14th 2011. I know it is one thing to be a victim and well another to be an observer. As a volunteer I observed pain, anger, bewilderment, spiritual uncertainty and just a varieity of human emotions. My goal here was to place the observer into the visual moments of the victim as the tornado actually took place. Nothing, I know could really place you into this moment as the real deal, so I do not make light of a situation such as this. My intentions are to make others aware of the mental aspect. To question the, what if. What if this happend to me, and or my family and friends? It could, you know. I also met a few nice people who will remain in my spirit. It is going to take the community a while to rebuild but rebuild they will just as everywhere else in this world that natural and non-natural desasters have struck. For every print that is purchased from this gallery I will give 10% towards helping the people of such desasters rebuild. Thank you for taking the time to look. Thank you for your support.
