These images have been gathered from Heard Management Areas throughout the west. These living icons of a once wild west are being systematically eliminated from public lands by the Bureau of Land Management to make room for more MAN.....and his cattle....and sheep...oil and natural gas... We must do all we can to save this living heritage. I have been fortunate to be able to stand in their midst. The energy I feel in their presence leaves me euphoric and filled with joy. As I leave them a sadness returns to my heart. Thank God they have no knowledge of the machinations of men's minds.
